The green technology expo

Ecomondo, the ecological transition ecosystem, is the place for industry, stakeholders, policy makers, opinion leaders and local authorities to meet and talk. It brings together and systemises the key elements that define the development strategies of the European Union's environmental policy.

Battery recovery

It is essential to focus on an efficient recycling process.

From portable to lithium-ion to large industrial accumulators, batteries and accumulators represent the technology of the future.

In the coming years, the demand for lithium batteries for electric vehicles is set to grow exponentially.
In addition to technological evolution, the push will come above all from the climate emergency that forces us to find alternatives to fossil fuels.
Electrification is advancing rapidly and it is expected that, by 2030, the global demand for lithium batteries could increase up to 14 times the current requirement.
When it is not possible to give batteries a second life, it is essential to focus on an efficient recycling process. Lithium batteries are made of composite materials, mainly metals, which are essential for the energy transition.
In essence, the activity of recovering batteries, both to regenerate them and to recover precious components, is essential for safeguarding our planet.

Why a Koala?

The Koala, in addition to being a naturally friendly animal, comes from Australia, the world's leading producer of lithium. This metal has become very famous in recent years for its use in batteries, essential for mobile telephony, the automotive sector, the photovoltaic sector and many other daily uses.

Unfortunately, the Koala is a species at risk of extinction, despite living in one of the most beautiful and least polluted ecosystems on the planet. This situation leads us to reflect on the responsibilities of humanity, which with its activities has put and continues to put the ecological balance at risk.

All of us, with our behavior, are called to do our part to change the course that has led humanity to make many conquests, often at the expense of the health of our planet.
We at AT Recycling, with our daily work, are committed to doing our part, for the friendly Koala and for all the inhabitants of the Earth. We are convinced that all of us, together, can succeed.

About us AT Recycling

AT RECYCLING was born from the experience of AT RICAMBI, founded in February 2007 by Alessandro Tassi and Evelyn Guaraldi, the decades-long recovery activity is in turn matured from the experience in the Tassi family company, founded by their father Enzo in the 70s, specialized in the trade of used materials for cars, in Italy and Europe.
After the experience of recovering materials such as exhausted catalysts, automotive components, electronic equipment and more, the arrival at the recovery of EXHAUSTED BATTERIES, was the natural evolution that led to the creation of AT RECYCLING.
The battery recovery activity is a cutting-edge and recently developed reality on the global scene, the new AT RECYCLING faces it with an important experience behind it and with an eye to a sustainable future for our planet.

Our partner

AT Recycling has chosen Librec, a European leader in battery recycling.

Librec recovers all battery components in additional steps compared to traditional methods. In addition to cobalt, nickel, lithium, manganese, copper, aluminum, steel, electronics and electrolyte, Librec’s process can also recover graphite, which makes up 10 to 20% of the battery’s weight, in an energy-efficient manner and without the use of chemicals.
With their innovative process technology, they can recover residual energy and all materials from the batteries. Nothing is burned or melted. All recyclable materials are used again to produce new batteries.
